Vintage handbags are all the rage!
Of all the vintage choices out there, my personal favorite is the "Midas of Miami". These bags are magnificent creations. They are a combination of tapestry trimmed in gold braid and painstakingly hand beaded, over a wicker core. The inside of the bag is lined in signature light green satin. With the "Midas of Miami" tag intact. These bags are hard to find and if you can find one in good to excellent condition it's a rare find. As they are skyrocketing in value, prices are ranging from around $75 to well over $700. The bag on the left I also acquired during the late 80's and unfortunately it's not in great condition. I have used it continuously since purchasing it for around $5 and I still love it!

Whether you are a seasoned collector or just starting out, there are hundreds of vintage handbag choices out there. The most important aspect to collecting vintage handbags is to chose something you like, do your homework, compare prices so you don't overspend, and of course have fun!
